It already is at the back of the line. You want to take it out of that line altogether by destroying Wootton as it is today. That’s what Wootton families don’t want.

Moving Wootton to Crown is treating kids as chattel. If MCPS could get away with it, they would forcibly bus Wootton kids to low performing schools all over the county, then ask MoCo for bonuses because they raised test scores in those schools.

And, I’d be thrilled if my kids were bussed. We are at the two Mike walk line with a dangerous walk so I have to drive each kid to school 2-4 times a day plus outside activities.

Stop making up it will destroy the school when a few more students will go to the school harming your self segregation. We don’t want your kids at our schools. Not because of the kids but because of you. You all have no issue busing your kids for the speciality programs. You seem to want a publicly funded private.

That’s how I see this playing out if H goes forward.

Selling at a loss, people are going to go bankrupt.

So much hysteria. Why would the value of your house go precipitously down when your high school changes from a crumbling building 1 mile from your house to a new building 3 miles from your house, with all of the same students?

Bigotry

You won’t be able to sell your home to bigots and they are a large share of the market in that part of the county.

So easy to demonize people with whose opinions you disagree. That way, you never have to question the righteousness of your cause and the false sense of superiority you enjoy.

If people are a large share of the market, then it’s more likely than not that their concerns are legitimate.

If the market is the entire county, what does that say?

Wait. I hear it now. The world’s tiniest violin being played. Honey boo boo if you have family money available to send your kids to Prep, why are you blabbering on here? My three kids each did a combination of MCPS and private school, and I recognize the privilege to have the choice. I am also a MCPS teacher at a title I school and work with many families who left everything behind to give their kids a better life and education. Not all but *most* truly appreciate any help their kids receive. They don’t have family money to pay for tutors or private schools. Please be grateful for the blessings and opportunities your family has available!

Identifying the troll post, there, seems to have been a little too hard...

And further debilitating the county financially and thus forcing their hand to proceed with fiscally responsible Wootton to Crown option. Wild ride!

Then don’t force the move and remediate Wootton. Fill Crown over time. It will get to full capacity quickly if it’s such a great school without Wootton kids attending it.

There will be lawsuits over Wootton/Crown.
