sure, but the US started this trade war right now. It's like saying Ukrainians shouldn't fight back against the Russians because their citizens are dying. When another country tries to hurt you, you don't just roll over because your people might get hurt.
The other countries put up their tariffs first.

Other countries, and I know that this seems a little crazy to Americans, use government money to help its citizens. In the US they will just use the proceeds to pleasure billionaires. The entire scam is built to transfer wealth from the bottom to the top.
Now, what allows other countries to do such things is a pragmatic and educated approach to economics and not the Play School version that dementia Donnie has scrawled out in dull crayon.

Just had a great couple meetings with contractors working on my house in North Carolina far from the beltway bubble.
None of them are impacted by the tariffs. None of them were Hispanic. They lived in the area since childhood, an electrician, a plumber, a contractor and helpers.
All of them support stopping the overwhelming immigration that replace US workers with cheap labor and all of them support tariffs to bring back manufacturing to US.
Maybe we should be able to build our own anti-biotics without the globalists demanding their cut.

Forget the cost of lumber, think about all the things that go into a house or construction project and how many things are made overseas? Think of tools, they will probably double or triple in price.
