Have a kid playing at an Ivy and this is 100% true. Parents (and players) laugh at the politics (which exist at all campuses btw, the ivies are bigger lightening rods for obvious reasons). Doesn’t affect my kid one bit. They work hard and play hard (trust me, they party). The business and alum network where my kid plays is unlike anything I’ve ever seen (and I went to a big school). The coach can get players any internship they want. It’s a lifetime door of opportunity. We’re fortunate we can do it, respect to those who (either for financial or academic reasons) decide it’s not for them.
