I think it’s the right call for her fans. They would rather have every sticky scrap, than a beautifully curated album.
I just assumed the point of this album was the all too muchness of it.
It grows on me with every listen, and good for her, that she can command that from me. Why do I care to hear her out, and other artists (possibly more deserving artists) never get that benefit of the doubt?
I don’t have an answer.
But she dreamed up 31 songs, and they aren’t all amazing. But still…. 31 songs, and a few are very very good.
Baller move would be to not submit for Grammy consideration.
It was for her, and now she’s done with it.
What is she done with though? Won't she write more about the guys she dates? I find it sad and regressive. Her best work are her songs not about men.

What bothers me about Taylor is that she is a 34 year old woman acting like she’s a doe eyed 19 year old.
People with regular lives marry, have children, some with special needs, family illnesses and deaths, stressful or boring or underpaying jobs, career changes, relocations, money problems etc. etc. But that’s regular people. She clearly leads an extraordinary life and doesn’t have to deal with any of that day to day. Good for her! I honestly would much rather be dating the hottest men in the world, partying with stars and writing poetry till 2am than dealing with the above mentioned mundane stuff…for the rest of my life if I could![]()
She's clearly not happy with her "extraordinary" life.
I feel badly for her. She's in her mid 30's and stuck in a high school, perpetual victim mentality.
I share your concern.
She just wrote about you two! “God save the most judgmental creeps, who say they want what’s “best for me,” sanctimoniously performing soliloquies I’ll never see”
Who cares! This quote just highlights how very adolescent she truly is. The psychological crisis of a teen is independence - at 34 Taylor
Is still fighting that battle.
Dp- the lyric highlights what a good lyricist she is. And that she’s got your number.
No it doesn’t. She sounds hyper defensive . When Internet comment critics know the comments bother a celebrity, they go even harder generally. She’s inviting a backlash if anything
Did it ever occur to you that it's intentional?

Because she's emotionally stunted.
She has first world problems. It would be nice to see her use her platform for social good instead of her self -adulatory works. Frankly, it isn’t very energy efficient that she produces so many exclusive CD and vinyls just to heighten first week sales .
“It’s always the man’s fault” can’t work forever, can it? Oh wait, of course it can .
You’re unaware of the work she does for social good?
