Are you serious? FCV got a big green up arrow for beating Boca and Penn Fusion got a big red down arrow for losing to Boca.
You seem to gloss over FCV's tie to a lower ranked FC Bucks and a loss and win against a lower ranked VA Union.
Beating low ranked teams like Skyline 1-0 demonstrate how the overall level of competition in GA will begin to work against FCV over time.
But what FCV did get was big red down arrow for beating Skyline 1-0. This is the risk of being in GA. Sure, you're winning games but nobody cares because of who the competition you faced. The reality is FCV needs every win and every social media post to stay in the spotlight.
FCV's record against ECNL teams over the last year is 3-2-2. While a small sample size the games were against mostly mid to lower table ECNL teams. While it doesn't paint a complete picture but even 3-2-2 with a +4 goal differential is in stark contrast to a current GA record 0f 7-0 with +15 goal differential with the same number of games.
And it doesn't get better when FCV plays against top 100 teams in GA.
GA Playoffs they went 1-1-1 with a -2 goal differential. They tied 105th ranked Morris Academy, they beat 85th ranked City SC and lost badly to 12th ranked TopHat 1-4.
The also lost to 41st ranked NEFC 1-2 and 36th ranked Beadling 1-2. Their goal differential against other top ranked GA competition is -2.
There is no evidence that FCV would fare any better than in ECNL than mid table. They currently only beat lower competition and occasionally still find ways to struggle against lower ranked teams at times and they fail to deliver consistent performances against equal to higher ranked teams than themselves. There is a reason they are so excited about winning WAGS, it is because beating teams better than them doesn't happen very often it at all.
They are a good team and on their best day they can run with anyone but they are simply not consistent enough against equal to better competition to ever call them "Elite".
Excellent post. Explain how well Arlington is doing then?

Jefferson cup should reveal how strong the GA teams are in comparison to ECNL
Actually WAGS already gave a preview of how typical GA and ECNL teams will fare.
GA results:
9 09 GA teams went 6-21
08’s had 6 GA teams that went a combined 3-15.
ECNL results:
08, 4 ECNL teams played and had a combined record of 7-5.
09 ECNL. 4 teams went a combined 9-3
ECNL 16-8 to GA’s 9-36
ECNL was under represented at WAGS with zero ECNL division leaders and all middle to lower of the pack teams and yet still combined for a winning record.
Sorry but you need to look at the brackets. If it’s not the top flight, local ECNL/GA team and 08’s it does not matter. There is a big difference between the top flight and the second flight. Many times the teams that get crushed in the top flight would be competitive in the second flight. While the second flight winner would not make it out of group play in the top flight.
Sorry, but not even GotSoccer believes the difference between the “Cup Bracket” and “Bracket A” is as vast as you would have us believe.
Cup Bracket awarded points: 7500
Bracket A awardee points: 7150
Bracket B awarded points: 4800

Lol got soccer! Seriously that is a good one!
YSR had two teams at 34.50 plus and two at about 33 roughly in the top flight. That’s below Richmond but above VDA.
The second flight highest team was about 32.3ish. You really think the top flight is the same as the second flight?
Based on YSR points here is where FCV would hypothetically place in ECNL Mid Atlantic
1. 35.21 Richmond
2. 34.18 VDA
3. 34.13 NC Courage
4. 34.02 Carolina Elite
5. 33.7 Charlotte SA
6. 33.56 Arlington
7. 33.53 FCV
FCV's hypothetical finish in ECNL North Atlantic
1. 36.12 PDA
2. 34.45 Penn Fusion
3. 33.89 Pipeline
4. 33.53 FCV
And moving further north, FCV's hypothetical finish in New England
1. 34.38 FC Stars
2. 34.59 World Class
3. 34.29 SUSA
4. 33.53 FCV
Regardless of conference FCV fails to qualify for Champions League which of course would save families a trip to California to just get bounced in group stage.
Of the top 100 teams in the Nation 9 are GA. Congrats FCV, you're one of the few good GA teams around.
Hard to know how good the GA teams are, most are in conferences with very little competition.
So wait… FCV beat Boca Sabr White (34.5) who beat Pen Fusion ECNL(34.47) and BSC ECNL but you think FCV would not beat other ECNL teams with 34ish points?![]()
Oh and look at that FCV lost points and Boca and Fusion gained Points. Seems like youth soccer ranking is cooking the points again.
Based on results of beating Boca a 34.5 and who that team has beaten FCV should be at least 34.5 not 33 and falling. Also Arlington should be in 34.5-34.75 not 33.5.
This would be a realistic result for FCV in the ECNL.
1. 35.21 Richmond
2. 33.56 Arlington(Arlington should have more point also)
3. 33.53 FCV(beat teams ranked 34.5 so they will be in the mix with these teams)
4. 34.18 VDA
5. 34.13 NC Courage
6. 34.02 Carolina Elite
7. 33.7 Charlotte SA
FCV's hypothetical finish in ECNL North Atlantic
1. 36.12 PDA
2. 33.53 FCV(beat the team that beat Penn Fusion)
2. 34.45 Penn Fusion
3. 33.89 Pipeline
And moving further north, FCV's hypothetical finish in New England
1. 34.38 FC Stars
2. 33.53 FCV(beat teams ranked 34.5)
2. 34.59 World Class
3. 34.29 SUSA

This is where YSR run into problems. YSR adds about a point to ECNL teams because they play in the ECNL.
Hahahahahaha. Hahahahahaha. Hahahahaha. Thats the stupidest thing I’ve ever read. YSR is an algorithm jackass and has nothing to do with leagues. It is simply taking goal differentials of games over a year and a halfs’ time. It works like a virus and is all connected by “six degrees of separation” if you will.
LOL, YSR and ECNL conspiracy theory.
FCV needs to get into the ECNL.

I think it is so funny that a FCV parent posts these things to make himself feel better. By the way, Arlington is in 5th place and will begin to move down. VDA is above Arlington. NC Courage lost today.
Please get over yourself. Every team in Mid Atlantic GA would be the very bottom except FCV. Fact.

I don't care where FCV ranks, but how can you possibly rank VDA over NC Courage, which completely outplayed VDA in their head to head game? Those two teams are not even close in quality.
