They are supposed to be mere subjects.

Ugh!
Omeish sucks but stop posting sh-t like this!!! What her family has done (or anyone’s family has done) is not the same as that person’s actions.
Omeish's father has a carefully curated and largely laudatory Wiki page, and even that page indicates he sat on the board of the mosque that hired Anwar al-Awlaki, and then subsequently defended al-Awlaki after he had left the country as having moderate views, although al-Alwaki ultimately was targeted for a drone attack by the Obama Administration for his links to al-Qaeda and terrorist activities. At a minimum, her father has shown poor judgment in his character assessments.
With that background, one might think taking issue with a School Board resolution acknowledging the tragedy of 9/11 would be the last thing that Abrar Omeish would do, and yet she did. That tells us that she's more interested in using her position as a platform to broadcast her allegiance to her father's political associates than representing the residents of Fairfax County.
She never should have been elected to the School Board - shame on those feckless Fairfax Democrats for allowing her to exploit their endorsement without intervening - and she surely should not be elected to public office in the future.

Yes. Now go ahead and tell us “far left” only means avowed Marxists.![]()
So how do you explain AOC? Sanders? Descano? Liz "Im an Indian, no Im not, yes I am" Warren? Andrew Yang? Soros? They are all taking us Dems way too far to the left. Why do I have to defend them in order to prove I am a Democrat?
Because your language and even mention of Soros makes you sound like you parroting Fox News.
Honestly, stop looking away. Soros dumped hundreds of thousands into the pockets of Virginia dem candidates.
I dont watch Fox News - they are just as bad as CNN, MSNBC, and the rest. it is all biased.
Do me a favor - search on "Justice and Public Safety PAC" and you'll see that Soros dumps millions a year into it, according to its own website. Then search on "descano campaign contributions" and see how much the Justice and Public Safety PAC gave Descano, according to Descano himself. Then search on "Justice and Public Safety PAC" and "Virginia" and see how Soros, through this PAC, is gaining control of our party here in Virginia. Then look nation-wide. None of this is from Fox news. All of this is troubling as Soros is pushing the Dem party so far to the left. It is happening all around you. I can see it - why cant other Dems? So frustrating.....
And what kind of websites will come up if I search all of this?
pp said some of the info is on the PAC's own website.
go find the page and prove pp wrong.

Part of the reason people think so poorly of Brabrand is that he spends half his time seeking to no avail to cater to the whims of a bunch of babbling ninnies on the School Board who don't have a clue how to engage in effective oversight of a $3B business. They all come out looking worse.

You end up with a bunch of unqualified dilettantes who otherwise would be volunteering at a library or digging in a garden entrusted with policy decisions that actually matter. The School Board has completely outlived its usefulness.
How exactly would you hold Scott Brabrand accountable without a school board? Put him under the BOS? So far they don't seem that useful either...
I'd be inclined to shrink the Board in half, pay them more, and revisit their rules and bylaws so their responsibilities are clearly and narrowly defined.

You raise many good points here - totally agree...although you are giving brabrand too much credit - this guy is totally incompetent regardless of the 'babbling ninnies' on the board.

I have friends that are counselors and teachers and they will not to the extra mile anymore for kids of these parents.
So did you feel the same way as pelosi and her dems tried to recall trump via impeachment?? Under your logic, that was also a waste of time.
anyway.....tholen, please step aside. we will not forget all the poor decisions you made. Many of us who voted for you before will NOT vote for you again.
