I wonder if the person in charge of the GOP twitter account knows that this is a shot of a blue state/blue district?

The corporate backers lost control to the evangelical base.

I was really struck by the right wing media that really couldn't believe they lost to Fetterman. Mind-boggling.

“Arizona’s new Republican Party Chairman Jeff DeWit shared the stage over the weekend with the state’s most polarizing legislator known for anti-Semitic, hateful rhetoric and conspiracy theories.
It was DeWit’s first full day as the Republican Party’s new leader. His introduction and praise of Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers prompted wild cheers at a political rally Sunday evening.”

“Everybody likes a story in which the little guy rises up to take on the establishment, but in this case the little guys rode in on a wave of know-nothingism, mendacity, an apocalyptic mind-set, and authoritarianism. Within a few short years, a somewhat Hamiltonian party became a Jacksonian one, with a truly nihilistic wing.”

“To borrow Warren Buffett’s take about investing, the conservative movement went from innovation to imitation to idiocy. It’s how the movement embraced Donald Trump as a standard-bearer and role model.”

This is disingenuous AF because Christie helped make this monster, but also something

Two people with mealy mouthed criticisms is nothing. It wasn’t even ten years ago that the GOP knew enough not to support antisemitism.

I’m a Jew as well. Your mistake is thinking these people have influence.

They may not have "influence" but the fact an entire poltiical party remains silent on it, and thus the "71 million voters" they represent, isn't harmless.

The GOP has spent decades courting black and Hispanic voters, they aren't going to turn on their "converts" unless they have to.

They don't have to turn on them. They only have to convince the converts that they are "special" unlike all the other black and Hispanic voters and that it is okay that these other people who look like them are villainized.

And yet, very few black and hispanic voters gravitate to the party because they are smart enough to know what it is.

Fact it, the GOP is the party of white male grievience. It is dwindling in numbers which is why it has to cheat to win. They cannot get majorities on their so-called platform.
