Priddy is well-informed, listens and engages with speakers and gives meaningful feedback. He seems to have really upped his involvement since his last run (when I was not compelled to vote for him.)
I don’t feel the same level of care and engagement from Sims. When I heard he was running, I was shocked because, to me, he seems checked out of the committee. From what I have seen, I do not think he would be an effective SB member.

We stay for commute and because we have moved north where impact won’t fully hit for another decade or so. Which is just enough to get my kids through. But watch what they are doing to S. Arl. Deliberately. It’s unconscionable.
Then PLEASE help us stop it!
The south Arlington middle class can't do it alone.

They say all politics are local. If the democrats want to influence who makes decisions about my local schools because they have some national agenda they want implemented, while I’m sitting here just hoping to have a representative who will help streamline the way kids like mine (dyslexic) get reading instruction, they will lose my support across the board. This is too personal. They need to make a clean exit from school board elections.

However, I heard Sandy speak at a smaller event and I was really impressed. She's been a teacher within APS for a long time. She made clear that she is not a fan of Murphy. I got the sense that she is running now in her retirement to try to address all the problems that she has been watching over the years as a staff member but was not empowered to fix. She spoke very authentically. I think she would bring a different and much needed inside perspective to the instructional issues that the School Board deals with, and would be able to ask hard questions to the APS administrators that other School Board members would not even know to ask. She isn't an ACDC insider either, so nobody would "own" her.
I'm voting Munnell and Priddy #1 and #2 and will probably leave the rest of my caucus ballot blank.

Why should someone not vote for Terron simply b/c he reported Symone? I respect him for reporting Symone's violation. If he was truly sneaky, he could have asked someone else to report it so it couldn't be traced back to him. At least that is what I would do if I was in his shoes.
For all of you on this board who claimed "I knew from the beginning that Symone was violating Hatch Act", why haven't you reported her? She doesn't seem like a popular candidate on DCUM anyway.
I've been planning to vote for Munnell, and my other vote will go to either Terron or Priddy. Terron's resume is a bit thin, but he seems harmless at least. Also his kids go to Swanson and Yorktown which is the schools my kid will go to (although my kid is only 2 yo), so my personal interest is more or less aligned with his. That said, I'm happy as long as the two winners are among Munnell, Priddy, or Terron. I don't have a strong preference among them. Just not the other candidates please.
Why do you like Munnell?
She is qualified. She has been in the schools.
