No she shouldn’t have said pig but that was after being called b***ch and having random people attach her plus being outed publicly. I feel these airline videos are very unfair to airline passengers. You have a problem on a flight and suddenly you are an internet sensation?
Having been in the same situation (I am small and could fit). The people were kind and the stewardess moved us but geez it was impossible for that lady. The people I sat next to were half the size of those 2 and it was still a squish.
Because she acted like a bitch. She could have nicely asked the flight attendant for another seat. Or asked the couple nicely. But she didn't. She chose to act like a nasty bitch.
Asked the couple nicely what? To stop being so obese and actually fit into the seats they chose to buy rather than taking someone else’s? I don’t get what you’re suggesting. Ask them to actually even pretend to care how obnoxious they were being by stealing something that someone else paid for? What?

And they were completely unapologetic about sitting half into her seat. I think they just wanted her to quietly ask to change seats like most other people would do. And if she dared raise a fuss about it - well, record her fussing and blast her on the internet. Nice.

If you are booking a second seat for convenience purposes - want a place to set your book, don't feel like sitting next to anyone else, etc - then the airline should be able to take that seat away at their discretion.
Well, no. They shouldn't.
There is a difference between a medical necessity and a wanted convenience. I actually "get" how a passenger may miss a flight and need desperately needs to get on the next available flight (maybe they need to get to a sick family member). If you have booked two seats because you don't feel like holding your book, I can see an airline taking that spare seat back from you to accommodate another passenger. I can not see an airline expecting people to squish in together and basically share the same seat. That's nuts.
They do. It happens all the time.
