Well, if your kid is good enough DC Express is a good option but very difficult to make top DC Express team.

Amherst commit is a Landon player.

NL college commit list continues to improve each year since the Mitchell brothers took over NL.

Finally nice to have a good alternative on this side of the river and not have to try to Baltimore either!

Yes, there are kids that could play club but don't. And there are kids that play club lacrosse for 2-3 years and play less capably than rec players.

If a kid is not in a club team are they really considered advanced?

If your child is a beginner - any camp will be just fine. If they are intermediate, it would be better to go to a clinic. Less kids and more reps concentrating on specific skill. If advanced and not on a club team - 1 on 1 instructions would be best. Also, during the summer season, there are plenty of college lacrosse kids that will work with your son to make some money

All of the “advanced” players are playing for the club team. Practices are ongoing and tournaments are weeks away.

Wrong. Their camps and clinics help keep the sport fun, helps kids makes friends and breaks up the boredom of hitting the wall.

Assuming this is for your son. Have no idea about camps/clinics for girls. Anyways, my son went to a few of their camps last year. He was a better player (skill wise) and was miserable. He didn't learn anything and said it was for basic skill development. Said that half the kids could not catch or throw the ball.

Like previous poster said, if your child is new to sport or wants to learn the basics - its worth it. Otherwise not worth the cost. Also, depends on the age of your kid. If your kid is in MS... not worth it as most kids tend to be really young.

It's not fun if the level of play is much lower than your current skillset.
I've heard the same with DCE/Performance Lacrosse - it's for new players, not skill development for intermediate/advanced players. Talk to the camp director in advance to set expectations. There are local clinics (usually 1-2 hours) for non-beginner players as well.

If your son is at a much higher level speak with the coaches. The NL top teams are usually good some are nationally ranked
