Again, there is no excuse for violent behavior, people who acted out in violence against others, except in self defense, should be brought to justice and face the full consequence under our laws. This include white nationalists, Nazis, Antifa members, and BLM activists.
This is the same as saying "violence from all sides" and you know it. Only one side showed up armed with the intent to fight.
I feel certain they were also hoping to get footage or photos of law enforcement attacking the alt-right, so they could use it in their recruitment materials. It seems they've learned a few things from the likes of ISIS.
The right to peaceably assemble is one worth fighting for. It's a despicable and diabolical mindset that uses that right to assemble with weapons and intent to use them.
I've never wanted to see people stripped of their citizenship before now. Round this trash up, drive them to the Mexico border and make them walk over to Nuevo Laredo.
Wrong. The counter protestors showed up with chemical sprays and threw some of the first punches, per the WaPo.
Exactly. Even The Washington Post was forced to admit the truth.
You guys have got to learn what an op ed is.

Why didn't he let the police or the National Guard intervene sooner, before someone got killed?
Because he was following a court order.
This. The Governor was in a damned did you do/ damned if you don't situation. The City had public safety concerns before the rally took place and said they couldn't secure the demonstration area. They tried to move it to an area that could be better secured. And a federal Court ordered them not to.

If McAuliffe had moved the National Guard in before he absolutely had to, the Alt right would have sued. He didn't more them fast enough, and people are pissed.
Here's an idea, maybe the Alt right (and the ACLU, who represented them) should have worked with law enforcement to ensure public safety? Instead of forcing them to allow a protest that the CITY SAID WAS UNSAFE.
Yep. Big ACLU supporter here, but they need to reflect now.
+1. They have their reasons (because public safety has been used as a pretext in the past), but they are too dismissive of legitimate public safety concerns.

There is nothing wrong with the "killing Nazis is my heritage" one. Many of us have relatives who fought in WWII. No reason she shouldn't use that on a sign.
So are these American Nazis the same as the ones in WWII? Are these American Nazis supposed to be killed by private individuals, with no trial, no jury, no rule of law? Here he/she is (I thought it was a he, but it doesn't really matter), advocating mortal violence against people that he/she calls Nazis, by birthright.

So you propose that it's open season to kill Americans who are Nazis? You think this is how a civil society of law conducts itself?
