I have thin legs, I think capris look alright on me. Not my style but not awful.

I think the only person who could pull it off is Audrey Hepburn. She had the built and the poise. For the vast majority of people, it's not a flattering look. The absolute worst is khaki or chino capris.

That’s what you noticed looking at photos of when you were 20? You sound sad and superficial.

Reading comprehension is not your strong suit, is it?

I’ve never understood this thread. I’m 5’7 and have really think calves and ankles and capris are really flattering on me. It actually accentuates one of my attributes. I’m sure they don’t work for some people just like there are styles I can’t wear because of things that aren’t so flattering for my body type.

You know what looks stupid to me, wearing tights for workouts or lounging.

I went to an event today and many men and women in their 40s and 50s were in attendance. Most of the men wore polo shirts tucked in under their pot bellies and shorts.

Nearly all the women wore capri pants. Capri pants do nothing for you. If you are short, you don't look good in capri pants. If you are fat, you don't look good in capri pants. If you are tall, you don't look good in capri pants. If you are thin, you don't look good in capri pants. No matter the body type or age, capri pants are not flattering.

I say this lovingly. Wear anything else- anything! Shorts (long shorts, if you want to; even short shorts look better than capris), a skirt, pants, anything but capri pants. They make everyone look stumpy and shapeless. No one looks good in them.

Wait, your boyfriend thinks I look good in them though.

LOVE capri and ankle jeans. I’m 40 and look great in both! Get a life.

This. You don’t like them. Don’t wear them. I like them, and I didn’t ask for your opinion.

I wear capris because I have thick thighs.

Interesting that a middle age person is in their 50s. I'm on my 39s and thought I was middle aged. I guess I'm wrong.

if you're built like this girl it looks good

She's exactly the one who should avoid them, her short legs look even shorter in them.
I do understand you're impressed with her butté.

The average woman is 5 ft 5 so all women should avoid capris except tall women?

What makes you think that only tall women have long legs? A lot of them actually have short legs in proportion to their bodies.
Short women can still have proportionately long legs.

Capri pants are sad. They look sad on anyone wearing them. I've never seen anyone pull it off and look amazing in capri pants. Not once.
