A person goes to one classroom and shoots students, then leaves the campus. Doesn't appear random but maybe so?
They shot before entering room, it’s the most accessible room on first floor. It could be an easier getaway than more populated buildings near main green or populated places. I don’t presume to know, but could be reason this building was chosen due to factors of getting away.
Anonymous wrote:^ of course. They are parroting Trump’s ideology and MAGA. They have been rallying against Ivy universities all year. The bastions of evil! Those damn intelligent people. It’s no surprise some rando would take that as a calling to open fire at one.
Chat rooms are full of this stuff.
We have an administration stoking and enticing violence against people, immigrants and anyone that doesn’t follow their radical, loony ideas.
I have a moderate, not a fan of either party right now (like most educated individuals, particularly the young) on campus and friends are much of the same. All view points are heard and discussed in class. None of them are in favor of school shootings or lack of gun laws, so you are correct there.

“ Ivy rumor mill says that Ella Cook, one of the victims at Brown from Birmingham, Alabama, was a leader in a small conservative group that was opposed to trans ideology. Cops may have indicated to the family she was specifically targeted in the shooting. Supposedly, killer entered with a plan and shot Cook in the face first. Cook was doing the review session with her normal person friend group.“
DP. But where does this comment come from? A tweet? A message board? Please link directly to the comment.

Out of those 11,500 students only about 92 identify as very conservative - 0.8%
VP of Brown Republicans Ella Cook was 1 of those 92 students.
That’s one hell of a coincidence…

Revolver and a small Glock handgun found in hotel room of person detained in connection to shooting, sources say
From CNN's Chief Law Enforcement Analyst John Miller
A revolver and a small Glock handgun with a laser sight attached were found in the hotel room of the person detained in connection to the Brown University shooting, according to multiple federal law enforcement sources.
The person detained is a male, law enforcement sources say.
Authorities traced the person of interest to the hotel in Coventry, Rhode Island. According to the sources, law enforcement banged on the door ordering him to open up.
Once inside, they asked where the person had been that day and evening. He responded he was there in the hotel the whole time.
I guess we should ban revolvers
Why not? If you want to hunt, get a bow and arrows like a real man.
How often are you needing to "defend" your family? Is this some made up hero fantasy you have? Aren't there other more productive ways you can help your family?
Be prepared.
It's like having insurance, but get trained too.
You think having guns is like having car or home insurance?
Well, at least gun ownership could come with licensing, insurance, inspection, registration, taxes, and all the similar requirements. Since they're similar and all, according to you.
Let's do the same for the 1st amendment.
Having a gun is for an infrequent emergency just like your regular insurance. If you can't see the parallel I don't know what to tell you.

So why did the shooter go on and shoot 10 other people besides Ella if she was the target? Surely they ran the range of religious affiliation and political ideologies.
