Why is VDA still doing secret tryouts if the team is already basically full? Are they planning to carry 20–22 players or something?
Still room for some special players that were possibly overlooked.
Translation: talent isn’t as good as we’d hoped.
The VDA hype train still not enough to overcome mediocre u13-15 teams.

Oh, the talent level is set and is above average, but not great.
These remaining slots are for who you know not how you play.
Compared to the North Atlantic, yes. But Arlington and RU will be the better teams by a lot with FVU ending up even further down the standings. I think GA is mostly to blame here for diluting the talent pool and mediocre DMV soccer
RU will be good, not sure by a lot though. Arlington tied VSA this fall so unless they get a lot of outside talent then they won’t be as competitive.
VSA 2014 is not strong at all. That Arlington team they tied was a U11/2015 Arlington team. In fact VSA 2014 got beat badly by GFR and both Richmond teams. I hope VDA has some good outside options for their secret tryouts.
Sorry you’re right. VSA didn’t play RU Orange yet but will in April. But they did lose badly to RU Red 7-2 and got shut out by GFR 2-0. And no that is not Arlington’s 2014 team that you tied it was the 2015…. It’s listed as a U11 team.
PP is correct. Arlington 2014 PreECNL has been playing up to 11v11. The team you played is definitely u11. Check gotsport for the details.
We played Arlington last fall 11v11 and we were supposed to play their Academy 2 team, but the Academy team showed up. It was easy to tell by the 'ECNL' patches on the jerseys. Our coach just said they shift teams around all the time.
The patches are total BS btw. Your story could be true, but there's a lot of reason for the patches that don't line up with your narrative. (Kids move down, old jerseys, maybe played up, but moved down etc).

issa suuuurprise. Click accept to find outAnonymous wrote:Does anyone know the composition of the U13 FVU team in terms of what clubs they are coming from? Did they strive for a mix of players from the feeder clubs or is it many from one club and zero from another?
Handful from valor. Who knows about the rest, but hopefully most are outsides because aligned clubs are very bad. Outlook doesn’t look good.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Does anyone know the composition of the U13 FVU team in terms of what clubs they are coming from? Ignoring the trolls… my guess is that the team will be mostly Valor girls and 2-3 from the other feeders combined. The rest will be outsiders.

Heavily waited to Villa, LMVSC, and Herndon. FVU is focusing on taking weaker players and developing them to be stronger. MV has a plan.Anonymous wrote:Does anyone know the composition of the U13 FVU team in terms of what clubs they are coming from?
