No one outside of people in academia and those looking colleges for their kids has any idea if WashU is top20 or top40. Seriously. It is the least well known good school. There are professionals and hiring managers who haven't heard of it period. Harsh but true.

That isn't the slightest bit true. Emory is a huge med school feeder and the CDC is literally on their campus. I have no affiliation to either university but I'm an academic physician and have recently served on a medical school admissions committee.
