It won't be close, but I don't think it is embarrassing to lose to a better team. Broadneck is at least half Annapolis Hawks players, they have at least three D1 commits and some high level D3 commits and they are just a better team. I wouldn't expect Yorktown to win. If they can take something away from the game that helps them prepare for the VA playoffs then it is a worthwhile game for them.

There used to be a day where VA teams would be closer to the MD teams. Talent is just down compared to the 2019-2023 classes. Less talent in NVYLL and club kids not getting coached up just sitting in traffic to go to HOCO games is not working. Private school is not the issue as MD has more private school players. The issue is that lacrosse is just not growing in N.VA. The great Robinson and Langley teams of past years would not get blown out by all of the AACO public schools.

These are ok and generally fit the pattern. I can tell you the site needs some clean up as there are more the a few teams that have not been changed with the 23/24 realignment, both class and region.

I had the same general vibe - Madison was about 50/50, Langley was 40/60 or worse.

I think Madison won more of the FOs , but gave up possession very quickly. So it seemed more 50/50

Good defense, questionable offense. Sidwell is pretty good this year and that will be a good test on 4/8. And then Langley on 4/12, Battlefield on 4/20 and Yorktown on 4/25.

It’s too bad McLean didn’t choose to play are more challenging schedule this spring. It is hard to tell how good they are because they basically have been beating up on easy opponents minus the game against Robinson. So are they really good or just look really good?

Not really. They beat South River by two goals twice, beat Severna Park by three, and beat Urbana by one in overtime. It would not be close in Virginia.
