But so fun. Already thinking of a novel centered on a mental health facility in a way off the beaten path location. All personnel live on site, and there is no TV, internet or cell phone reception, only a single landline phone.

So, clearly Laundrie's family is neck deep and have helped him flee. He won't talk to the police, they won't talk to the police, and then all of the sudden their lawyer sets up a conversation with the police so they can tell the police that Brian...entered a wildlife reserve and they haven't seen him since Tuesday.

I also want to say that I don't understand statements like this/find them to be unhelpful:
"It is important to note that while Brian is a person of interest in Gabby's disappearance, he is not wanted for a crime," North Port police said in Friday's statement. It added that the investigation is now a "multiple missing person" case."
Do they say this stuff in the hopes of making the obvious suspect think he isn't a suspect? I mean, 2+2 isn't going to equal 5, no matter how you slice it.
And how did they not have surveillance on Brian Laundrie? Or a wiretap order on his and his family's phones? There would certainly seem to be enough here to warrant that.

He is HIDING. Not missing.
He probably has completed suicide somewhere...
Or, maybe that serial killer got him too.

So, she did have a job and in many states that job requires certification. Yes, you only need a high school diploma to get the training, but she wasn't just sitting around not working for years and years, as some posters seem to think she was.
Second, I love how so many posters think the parents could have completely controlled Gabby. "Why did Gabby’s parents allow her to move in with Brian’s family ? Why can’t she stay on her own or with her own family , go to college, start a career path ? Why is she not finding those supports at home ? Something isn’t right there ."
She was in love. She wanted to be with the guy. She was 22. The parents can't force her to move back to New York. I know a lot of parents with daughters several years younger who have tried unsuccessfully to get them away from guys they thought were bad news. And please note that her parents are divorced and her father recently moved to Florida "to be closer to his daughter." So, maybe he did have concerns, but all he could do was move close to her and let her know he and his wife were there for her if things with Brian fell apart. He may also been able to see and talk with her regularly so he could assess how she was coping with her anxiety and OCD. In all honesty, I don't know what more he could have done with a 22 year old daughter.
Pretty sure her dad is an abuser.

Stop being stupid. There are exceptions to Hippa. It’s not some ironclad agreement if silence.
She has committed no crime. If she committed herself and said tell no one, they can’t.
There’s an exception if law enforcement makes a request, but if they don’t know she’s there, no request.
Again, not saying it’s probable at all, but it can, and does happen.
NOPE, you are WRONG
Show me where they can with no request from law enforcement.

“A HIPAA covered entity also may disclose PHI to law enforcement without the individual’s signed HIPAA authorization in certain incidents, including:
To respond to a request for PHI for purposes of identifying or locating a suspect, fugitive, material witness or missing person, but the information must be limited to basic demographic and health information about the person.”
Correct, notice where it says "a request". With no request, they just can’t tell someone. If no one knows you’re in there, no request is made. The hospital can not just decide to say something.
So the entire medical staff, non medical staff and volunteers working at this facility don’t watch the tv or listen to radio and have no heard of the nationwide manhunt for Gabby? And if anyone at the hospital knows she is there they will absolutely say something. They would not remain quite regardless if Hippa was involved or not. Just stop. You look ridiculous.
