More than that. Rumor is the Ga waived all their entrance fees and showcase fees for both teams.
Top Hat and LF were on their way out.

I heard ECNL offered TH 50k a year and no fees for 3 years and they still turned ECNL down.

You need to stop taking things personal and realize this is all just a business. TH is doing well in the GA and now they potentially are not paying fees to governing body for both teams. That’s a great business deal which if true makes perfect sense to stay in GA.
Going GA to ECNL is about what allows clubs to make the most money. This is why a lot of GA clubs stay GA so their boys can play MLSN because that’s what makes the club money.
TH doing well in the GA cause the teams they play are ALL mediocre until about the final rounds of the champions cup or playoffs where they finally have competitive games.
That has nothing to do with the point of soccer is a business. What model allows them to make the most money. Right now it’s GA.
I wonder if the other club in question received the same deal?
It’s a smart move being in a bunch of new low level clubs let them pay and give your best clubs a deal to keep them happy.
Look the p2p model has made its way to the governing bodies.

Not LF, they're not giving up MLSN for ECNL. Maybe Top Hat, but that's said every year
and this is why you don't know what you are talking about. LF would not have had to give up MLSN to move the girls to ECNL. but go on. tophat boys are already in the ECNL
Maybe they would if MLSN told them that if you leave GA, you'll have to take your Boys with you. Maybe they were willing to do to them what ECNL has done to clubs for years to prevent them from leaving for MLSN.
and yes everyone already knows that Top Hat Boys are in ECNL.
no, not everyone knows Tophat boys are in the ECNL. several posters here have said things about them moving from MLSN to ECNL. they just assume. just like many people don't know that Tophat use to be in the ECNL until they bolted to the DA and ever since it went bankrupt have been begging to get back in the ECNL.

Don’t be so dramatic. If we are talking just the annual club fees for GA, that is about $16,000.
If this were ANY other GA club, i would agree. But it is TopHat. Somehow they are the only GA club that surpasses their neighboring ECNL clubs in terms of development and college/YNT placement. Player retention is not a problem for them. By staying in GA, they can get two teams in front of scouts where they would almost certainly be limited to one in ECNL. Why again does this club need ECNL?
