Maybe she should step aside and let her daughter have her graduation moment. It’s this desperate cry of attention that makes her appear unhinged. Take several seats Jen and let the graduates have their moment to shine. No one cares to hear from the old ladies musing about college and life choices from almost 30 years ago. We all have Sliding Doors moments and can wonder what would have happened if we caught the missed train. It’s not that deep because wherever you go, there you are. Yup, you could have gone to a different college and never married Brandon. But you would have still been the person you were and maybe that’s the key to the change you wish you could see in your past. It’s not the college. It’s not Brandon. It’s not where you went to church. It’s you. You’re the main character in your life. You can blame everything else all you want but sometimes we need to look at ourselves as the one who made the choices and who got us to where we are today.

I don’t get why Jen gets all this hate for “trashy” style and Tina gets a pass when she has half her rack out all the time. She’s cute and fit, but still looks as cheesy as Brandon in his ridiculous Jesse James getups.
