Yeah, that really makes zero zero chance. The chance that a nanny would come home early with the kid because they forgot something or the kid was fussy or the nanny realized it was all an insane plan to leave for the national zoo early in the morning in the middle of rush hour traffic with a cranky preschooler is very high. Or what if the little kid had been slow getting ready and they had left for the zoo yet when sexy man shows up? This is just totally unbelievable that a mom would plan this for any 7:30 morning but especially so when she was gojng to have the NEXT morning totally free of kids!

Speaking of the nanny coming back home...does the kid have allergies or something? I don't see returning home just because I forgot my kid's lunch. Just buy something at the zoo.

Very forced seeming aspect of the story to me, too.

I agree except that some moms are very particular about what the kid eats and what the nanny spends so I can imagine an au pair feeling more stressed about “oh the mom told me to bring this sandwich so she’ll be irritated if I buy her chicken nuggets for $15 st the zoo…”. It’s not th most unbelievable part of this story. Dragging a kid out at 7:30 to fight rush hour traffic to get to the zoo before it opens is more weird.

Okay I’m having the same thought after Brendan’s testimony. His timeline is so insane.

He says: the kid woke up and got in bed with Christine. He was downstairs and heard the kid running down the hall. Also during the morning he said something about being in the basement on his laptop (he was VERY busy this morning, to say the least). He’s going to work “early” at 7:00 because he has a 9:30 meeting but also lurking around McDonald’s making sure he saves like $1 in the app, eating in his car, and using the bathroom at McDonalds. Anyway, these are all things I totally do when I’m trying to get to work early with like 2 hours until an important meeting I need to prepare for.

But back to what he says about Christine. She was still in bed with the kid, he said maybe on her phone or the kid and her are sleeping, I don’t 100% remember that point just that he said the kid is sleepy when he picked her up and Christine was on the phone when they talked and she wished him luck on his meeting. But here we are with less than one hour to go and she’s chilling in bed with the kid. Not waking her up. Not bringing her down to Brendan or Juliana, but Brendan goes and gets the kid. Then they get her ready and (poorly) pack for the day in this tight timeline with no input from Christine at all?

Not sure any of this is the best evidence in the case, but it definitely does not add up.

I should probably know after the excruciating defense presentation, but does anyone know for sure if those last telegram messages on the 24th come from the phone or laptop?
