I think it is so funny that a FCV parent posts these things to make himself feel better. By the way, Arlington is in 5th place and will begin to move down. VDA is above Arlington. NC Courage lost today.

Jefferson cup should reveal how strong the GA teams are in comparison to ECNL
Actually WAGS already gave a preview of how typical GA and ECNL teams will fare.
GA results:
9 09 GA teams went 6-21
08’s had 6 GA teams that went a combined 3-15.
ECNL results:
08, 4 ECNL teams played and had a combined record of 7-5.
09 ECNL. 4 teams went a combined 9-3
ECNL 16-8 to GA’s 9-36
ECNL was under represented at WAGS with zero ECNL division leaders and all middle to lower of the pack teams and yet still combined for a winning record.
Sorry but you need to look at the brackets. If it’s not the top flight, local ECNL/GA team and 08’s it does not matter. There is a big difference between the top flight and the second flight. Many times the teams that get crushed in the top flight would be competitive in the second flight. While the second flight winner would not make it out of group play in the top flight.
Sorry, but not even GotSoccer believes the difference between the “Cup Bracket” and “Bracket A” is as vast as you would have us believe.

Lol got soccer! Seriously that is a good one!
YSR had two teams at 34.50 plus and two at about 33 roughly in the top flight. That’s below Richmond but above VDA.
The second flight highest team was about 32.3ish. You really think the top flight is the same as the second flight?
Based on YSR points here is where FCV would hypothetically place in ECNL Mid Atlantic
1. 35.21 Richmond
2. 34.18 VDA
3. 34.13 NC Courage
4. 34.02 Carolina Elite
5. 33.7 Charlotte SA
6. 33.56 Arlington
7. 33.53 FCV
FCV's hypothetical finish in ECNL North Atlantic
1. 36.12 PDA
2. 34.45 Penn Fusion
3. 33.89 Pipeline
4. 33.53 FCV
And moving further north, FCV's hypothetical finish in New England
1. 34.38 FC Stars
2. 34.59 World Class
3. 34.29 SUSA
4. 33.53 FCV
Regardless of conference FCV fails to qualify for Champions League which of course would save families a trip to California to just get bounced in group stage.
Of the top 100 teams in the Nation 9 are GA. Congrats FCV, you're one of the few good GA teams around.
Hard to know how good the GA teams are, most are in conferences with very little competition.

GA didn’t win a single game in the 2nd bracket and Baltimore Celtic didn’t score a single goal in the top bracket at WAGS.
Oh, but who won WAGS top bracket again? I'm sorry, I forgot. Can you jossle my memory?
I’m looking for the Divison leaders of ECNL in WAGS. The only team FCV couldn’t beat was a middle of the pack ECNL team.
As a whole ECNL teams performed much better overall. GA proved, beyond one team that they were in over their head at WAGS.
Sorry, but not scoring a single goal the entire tournament does not translate to dominating a lower bracket.
Question: How did FCV do this weekend?
Answer: Nobody cares because it is GA.

Arlington in the ECNL is a great gauge. Arlington struggled to finish 3rd in GA but will finish 1 or 2 in ECNL. Last year all we heard was how arlington was going to get crushed when they became ECNL. Oh ECNL is so much better vs Ga, blah, blah, blah. ENCL is a few good teams and a bunch of below average teams. Just stop talking about how the ECNL is elite. A few ECNL teams are but not the gaggle of teams around here(that includes Arlington). Around here ECNL is on par with GA.
Want to come here brag how elite ECNL is? Win a top bracket in a major tournament, be number one in the state, be top 3 in the region and top 10 in nation. Make the ECNL playoff and win a game. Don’t come here and brag how your DD team beat Stoddert or BRYC. 6 ECNL team in the DMV maybe two are good teams for the ECNL or GA level. The rest? …lol
