Alas, the Samba Boyz placed 3rd (out of 4) in their bracket at a recent Labor Day tournament. Apparently, other teams learned how to push back.
Not bad for a team that played up a year. People are really obsessed w the Samba Boyz.

We'll see if this continues.
Youth soccer rankings collects results - teams don't have to post them. So the MLS Next games went in there - but MLS Next was such a mess last year that I don't think enough results got posted for all teams to get a ranking.

Gotsoccer is nonsense. Youthsoccer rankings are much better and usually refelective of a team's ability. SYC may well have good youthsoccer rankings too.
The MLS Next teams aren't recorded in YouthSoccer rankings; however I checked and the girls are nowhere close to the stature of the boys.

What is going on with SYC girls program?
Long story short:
SYC has dedicated its resources (financial and fields) to the boys program for MLS Next and placing players into McLean's ECNL teams. Having been at SYC for several years, this is quite obvious to see. For winter training months, they don't schedule the girls any field space; however, the boys (of all ages) will be on the fields on any given night. It's a cultural circumstance within the club. Their coaches are on these forums a lot, so you'll see some girls posts soon again on social media, but nothing with substance.
SYC hasn't put a female player into college in years. But even when EM was the TD of LMVSC, the focus was the boys there as well.
Thanks LB! Is this what you said on Monday?
Julian - we have a problem.
My team is getting slaughtered again this year. This is your fault, not mine. I am the best coach in the area. Why haven't you given me more resources for my team to win games 6-0 not lose them 0-6? It's your job to tell EE to give me his players so I don't get embarrassed week after week!!
