Why should someone not vote for Terron simply b/c he reported Symone? I respect him for reporting Symone's violation. If he was truly sneaky, he could have asked someone else to report it so it couldn't be traced back to him. At least that is what I would do if I was in his shoes.
For all of you on this board who claimed "I knew from the beginning that Symone was violating Hatch Act", why haven't you reported her? She doesn't seem like a popular candidate on DCUM anyway.
I've been planning to vote for Munnell, and my other vote will go to either Terron or Priddy. Terron's resume is a bit thin, but he seems harmless at least. Also his kids go to Swanson and Yorktown which is the schools my kid will go to (although my kid is only 2 yo), so my personal interest is more or less aligned with his. That said, I'm happy as long as the two winners are among Munnell, Priddy, or Terron. I don't have a strong preference among them. Just not the other candidates please.
I agree! Well put. Just anyone except Cristina and Data dude.

I don't think being a stepdad or not having kids at all should be disqualifying, but I think Terron's involvement has been unimpressive; I don't know if things are better now that he's seeing things close up. But people who have worked with him on various committees say he's all show. And his comments on AEM are definitely all "I did it so anyone can!" which is not how reality works. I want someone who says, "I did it and and I want the same opportunities for people who don't have my advantages."

I have never served with him on a committee so I can’t speak to that, but the resume on his website shows that he’s been a tutor and mentor to Arlington kids at Harvey Hall and throughout APS since 2006, apparently long before he had kids/step kids of his own. He’s on the board of the YMCA and AHC. I think it looks like he wants to give back. Compare that with Priddy and Krieger. While they both seem like nice guys, Priddy’s main argument seems to be that he’s a PTA President and went to Arlington schools while Krieger‘s is that he doesn’t want Key to move and he has really young kids in the system.
Priddy impressed me by advocating for access to the Fleet building for students in wheelchairs.

I wouldn't support Terron. I don't believe he reported her out of ethical concerns. I believe it's a personal matter between the two of them. And I don't want board members who can't work together or get along or at least tolerate each other and behave professionally.
It's disappointing that someone would vote for a candidate because they're connected with the same schools their own kids are/will attend and see those interests as being in alignment - rather than seeing the interests of Arlington Public Schools as priority and to the benefit of their kids regardless of what schools they are currently destined for. That's the perspective that has kept Arlington so divided and has perpetuated the disparities across our system.
I’m not pp, but Arlington is rife with people who vote for the candidate who supports their narrow interests. NVD got the special needs vote, Symone has dyslexia and other special interest voters, etc. I don’t totally disagree with you, but you either buy into the Democratic view of the world (I vote for the person who represents my personal interests) or you go with principal. Principal is largely out in deep blue Arlington (as seen on AEM), so may as well vote for your own personal interests. Cynical, I’ll admit, but it’s each woman for herself in this county.

Priddy volunteers with Aspire! and he's volunteered in many other ways, including stepping up as a PTA president and serving on a number of other boards/committees.
Resumes can look great while being rather inflated relative to the person's actual involvement or contribution or impact. I value the opinions of those who served on committees or worked with the individuals more than I credit someone's self-written resume. Besides, volunteering isn't the only qualification for being a good board member.
