This. I am surprised he went through with the wedding and home purchase. You can see him biting his tongue a lot. For example, when he was stressed about the problems with their new house, and additional expenses to the tune of $15-$20k, Cate was all like, "oh haha well we need to get it done, so oh well... people go over budget all the time!" She does not give a damn about being careful with money. She reminds me of my sister in that sense, who is bipolar.

The term "allows" is used a bit loose. I agree on this one for sure. Because as a married couple from what I see from my parents (ok I'm only 15 but) it is or should be a joint decision in a healthy marriage. it doesn't matter whose money when you're married it should be a joint decision. Unless I'm totally wrong. Sometimes I do watch the show just to see how situations are handled and I have to do this as part of school work to but... I think the person was trying to say - that because he's more mentally together than she is he knows the expense of taking care of a horse and the stress she will most likely go through just like with the pig. I did write one of the teen moms for advice via... as part of my homework but the advice was trash my teacher just shook her head. And what she told the class was going to happen actually happened the show ended up being something totally different from what it was intended to be which was to teach us teens the difficulties we would face from make poor choices as far as relationships, sex, and keeping secrets from your parents. It's just sad because the show when our health teacher first showed the episodes of 16 and pregnant in September it made me and my friends so scared and I didn't want to ever have sex and now it's like whatever if their parents are cool with it eventually other parents outside of tv world will get over it so… yea my friends and I made a pact to keep our virginity until we turn at least 16. Not one kept that promise none are virgins. Like they are stupidly having unprotected sex. Their moms don't even know they take BCP's. I'm still thinking like how these moms don't know anything. With Debra I can't figure out if she puts up with the behavior out of guilt or if she's in it for the money or both. Drives me crazy when I watch Farrah. I want to know and I want her to be able to deal with it and move on.

Remember, this is the girl who said something in private to Dr. Jen on Couples Therapy which was never revealed outright but was later suggested to be that she was gang raped as part of her sex tape which she "didn't want to do" which previously giving interviews that it wasn't a Sex tape but rather just her having sex and she taped it whole she was still young and beautiful as a memory for just her...and then she later said it was a sex tape. She said she called her dad by his first name because he was so terrible to her when she was younger and later said it was because her stepsister called him that so she did, too. She is a liar and while she may have been abused, I think it is equally likely she wasn't.

But what causes someone to be such a compulsive liar? That's what makes me believe something DID happen to her as a young child, though maybe not the things she says (or doesn't say). It's very mysterious. Scary to think that someone with a typical upbringing and no family history of issues could just end up being so horrible.

I think Debra sticks around and takes Farrah's abuse for the money, yes, but also because Farrah would cut off her access to Sophia in a heartbeat.
