She was a late 30s girl boss and had to settle for some shmuck who looked half-decent on paper (stable career, nice, dorky). She obviously never actually loved her husband.
Her husband is better looking than Mike Vrabel, probably a nicer person since not a cheater, was single, will never have CTE, and was probably excited to date and marry a prominent, semi-celebrity journalist.
She made a terrible judgment call.
Agree on the judgment call but please be real -- looks are in the eyes of the person looking but Vrabel is hot to most women -- both because of his looks and size --- Vrabel will not have CTE either in all likelhood. Only a small percentage of football players will.
Vrabel is a meat mountain. I guess this why I find jersey chasing unfathomable.
That is appealing to many women.

The lowdown women who enter sports reporting are all lifelong skanks who’ve been sleeping with every jock since high school if not middle school. Including group sex “trains” with several athletes at once. I’m not exaggerating.
UVA lacrosse player here from the late 90s. I literally saw at least a half dozen girls willingly have sex with multiple men at the same time (run a train) in the attics of houses on Rugby road. One girl was there for hours.
It cracks me up that all those skanks are now moms to teenagers and on the PTA.
Gen X women are the truly the biggest whores. Gen Z girls would shudder to hear about the mileage of their mothers

They were paying for access and she seemed to have a lot of it.
NFL is big business and she was one of the top "insiders"/reporters. Look up what Schefter makes.
He makes well over a million. But calling her a print journalist does not help. Her comp would be compared to star print journalists. They still exist although there are less than there were. Maggie Haberman at NYT has similar comp.

Did she graduate from George Mason?
The New Times story people eithrr want to comment or 'were unavailable to comment' man these corporate types.
Also how expensive are flights to Cannes France?
Russini got it wrong when the Jacksonville Jags fired their coach an entire year later.
Also it was just a speeding ticket Dianna no need to FaceTime a coach JC
Also we know now why Katie Nolan (cough) and Stugotz(literally who) were carrying water for her.

Oh wow, Russini broke a story that the Skins acquired DeSean Jackson. Stop the presses for this earth shattering news! Let's back up the truck for her!
And of course the cherry on top was that she blew the Doug Peterson story and suffered zero professional consequences.
Of course, the story completely avoided the big question which is: HOW MANY OTHER COACHES HAS SHE BANGED? I'm sure the answer is on more than two hands.
Her $800k salary was such as disgrace to the profession. Journalists who put their lives on the line and those who actually report on fraud, waste, abuse and criminal activity (and don't sleep with sources) are lucky to make 10% of Russini's salary.
Just goes to show that a pretty face and a willingness to sleep around will take you far in journalism. Having ethics and acutually reporing on stories that matter, eh not so much.
Do you have ANY idea what it takes for an ethnic woman to succeed in a white man's world like sports journalism?
You should be blaming the predatory players, coaches and sports execs, not the victim.
No one blames the actresses on Harvey Weinstein's casting couch. Journalism is even more cutthroat in this day and age than Hollywood. Dianna did what she needed to do.
