As it’s been stated time and time and time again. It will not be the same school when it moves. Initially they will take some students form Rosemont and then probably Fields road, after that the plan is to continue to fill the empty spots with more GHS kids. How could you possibly think Wootton would be a the same academic level after that happens?

I don't care much if DARCARS sucks or they do it for PR, I just know that MCPS is poor.
MCPS is far from POOR. MCPS is mismanaged and no accountability or transparency.
And that is the heart of the problem. Instead of calling for accountability, the Wootton haters want MCPS to force a move Wootton families don’t want.
There is plenty of money. MCPS can and often does shift priorities.
I highly recommend someone in Wootton neighborhood should start to consider to run for high positions in MCPS, then you can advocate for Wootton directly and internally to cut other budgets to shift priorities. At the end, it is MCPS making the final call and decision.
If Option H was attractive to Wootton families, there wouldn’t be any opposition to it. But there is a significant amount, leading to the logical conclusion that it’s unwanted. Forcing an option on those most negatively affected means it’s not optional (for them).
OK this line is just dumb. This is one of many options being considered by MCPS to decide how to handle the situation. Hopefully you know that there was never any implication of creating options for residents. This is, like, ...how government works.

The problem is the schools they want to make cuts are already bare bones and falling apart so, maybe just close one and send them to Wootton.

Please provide citations for this. Wootton families are asking for remediation of immediate problems, not a full renovation. Wootton is on the CIP for 2035 (after being bumped twice). That demonstrates Wootton families are patient. They just don't want to move to Crown. Why can't you understand this (you probably do understand, but you're trolling).
Are you suggesting that remediation isn't even a possibility due to lack of funds? If this were the case, then Crown's construction should cease immediately because there is no need for a brand new school costing $400M that will be under enrolled. While you're at it, go ahead and halt all CIP for full renovations and focus on simple remediation of existing buildings. That would save MCPS hundreds of millions of dollars. Oh, and no more renovation of sports fields or facilities. Those are a luxury if you can't remediate mold, HVAC, gas lines, etc.... in schools that need it.
Funds for repairs, replacement and new buildings are planned years in advance. Clearly you don't pay attention to how it works. To fix Wootton something else would have to be cut and these repairs are not easy and simple and it would be tearing apart the school. Why should you be bumped over schools in worse condition??
