There are many “exceptions” to the RTO policy.
Such as?
I know there are reasonable accommodations but I assumed doctor sign off. Is everyone running to the drs for sign off due to stress or something?

people in your group get into work at 5:30 am??
Or they take lunch at the end of the day, WHICH IS ALLOWED.
No it is not allowed - we already went over this extensively.
Citation? And don’t say “my intuition” or “my hr drinking buddy.”

lol. So we’re citing the CBA now for agency policy?? There’s another provision in there I’d like to enforce, then, if the CBA suddenly is authoritative! Or are we just picking the provisions that we like or happen to agree with?
So the CBA is just someone’s intuition or an hr drinking buddy?

NP here. Yes, there are multiple folks in my group that do this.
So they wake up at 4:30am to go to work? That sounds hellish. I don’t think I got a JD to wake up at the same time I did in college when I worked at a bagel shop.

What would you do with this info? And if you knew it, would you feel it was reliable?
I hope there won't be RIFs but I'm planning as if there will be. I don't think there's any information that would change that.
I have an exploding offer from the private sector. I have to decide by next Friday, May 23.
I want to stay. Worst case scenario is if I decide to say and then end up getting RIFed. It's extremely hard to get a good job.
You’re kind of an idiot for even considering staying. I mean c’mon.
+1. I wouldn't stay either to be honest. I don't think there will be RIFs because I think a lot of people are going to leave on their own but I don't think the working environment is going to get better, it may even get worse.
How could it possibly get worse?? It’s pretty rock bottom.
PP here and increased workload plus potentially less flexibility (i.e. DHS mandatory 9-5). They are already expanding ding core hours.
Where did you hear anything about expanding core hours?
To be fair this is happening in my unit rather than a broader thing and for attorneys only (not accountants). Its not dramatic but they're saying they need people to leave no earlier than 3.
it’s hard to really complain about that …
I guess it depends on your situation. For people with a long commute it can make a substantial difference with traffic. For people with school aged kids it can be the difference in being able to get them off the bus after school.
