We are from a club not affiliated with ECNL and are also looking at trying out at NVA and Union this coming spring and while we have been very impressed with NVA facilities, we don't know much about Union other than what we read here. Thank you
You just made everyones day. Union or NVA? This is assuming you have already determined she can't play for VDA '09s? Makes sense they are probaby the only elite team around here at the moment. NVA 09 would be my recommendation despite some coaching issues, its less of a trainwreck than whatever is happening at Union. The main parent clubs for each Loudoun (NVA) of late has been far more stable than McLean (Union) and Loudoun park is a far better facility than anything happening with Union's facilities. VA Revolution is worth looking at as their 09 team is better than the others but as a club very new and shiny. Some people like that, and their facility is unmatched.
Problem is in the name. They have had two fractured unions in less than 5 years. They need these unions to be able to keep their ECNL badge, but it's a result of poor management and parental influence. Which has led to fractured teams, with loads of potential but inconsistent results, leading to players leaving mid season from every team, every year. They will tell you how amazing their current class of 2007s are, and they are impressive, but after that this club has not and will not have the same outcomes. Not bashing just stating facts that numerous on here can back up. NVA for the record is not much better but they, Loudon at least could walk way from any of the other clubs in their alliance and keep their ECNL badge.

Both seem about the same distance from where we will be living. My daughter is currently a 2009 and plays ECNL in the Pacific Northwest. Can anybody here give advice? Coaches, players on the team, club culture, etc. TYIA
