People will do almost anything to avoid admitting they were wrong and duped. It's a self-protection defense. A person doesn't want to admit that they put their trust in a charlatan, so they find more and more ways to explain/excuse the charlatan.
It is pitiful.
We just hope and pray that there are just enough people in WI, GA, PA, AZ, etc. to keep the charlatan out of power.

The guy says they have elected officials and "electors" there. We know the electors are fake but who are the elected officials outside with them?
Some of the fake electors were also elected officials. Mostly state legislators. In Georgia, the now Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones was a state senator at the time he signed the fake electoral certificate and is an unindicted co-conspirator. The Michigan fake electors included a town clerk and a school board member.

I understand deplorables falling for Trump but there needs to be a deep dive into how what would have been upstanding citizens in the past were able to be brainwashed by Trump and his people. I do blame Fox and alt-right media but I wish there were more research into it.

Tl;dr - the guy got rich on crypto TWICE and went from a fundraising Democrat to Trump supporter who didn't want to pay taxes. His move to Puerto Rico is to save on federal taxes, as Puerto Rico has a preferential regime for investors (considered a foreign jurisdiction by the IRS but not subject to FACTA).

It really is Fox News. I have a dear friend whose husband has Fox News on 24/7. She basically gets all her "news" from passively listening to it. She has become terrified of crime, even though we live in a small city with almost no violent crime and none in the community where she lives. Her views on illegal immigration are so racist I have to stop her from talking about it. She is obsessed with Hunter Biden, even though she can't actually explain what it is she thinks he did. But honestly the biggest problem is how little she knows about most mainstream media news stories. Fox simply doesn't report on anything that deviates from their agenda. So Fox News voters are both misled and massively uninformed.
I’ve called Fox News a terrorist organization for 20 years. Fits more now than ever, unfortunately.

It's social media and consumption of propaganda. A significant portion of any population is outright gullible and impressionable. All it takes is for elites to set aside polite norms and ramp up the propaganda to get the gullible ginned up. We've seen this throughout history - we know propaganda actually works. Social media makes it so much easier to tailor the message and deliver it directly.
