St. Andrew's released more decisions on the decisions page and they're impressive.

I think that wealth or geographic location determine to a large degree where most children attend schools in almost every country. If you are aware of a country where those factors do not, please name them.

Nowhere else in the world are college tuition fees so exhorbitantly high compared to the average person’s income. Please name those countries where the ability to pay, aka «  ED », impacts your kid’s access to the best education.
No other country has advertised themselves to the extent the Us of A have. « American Dream ». Truly that. A dream.

Anyway the point of my post was really for all of us to stop the insanity with Big 3 and Whitman and Churchill and who got the best outcomes. Same people and same privileged bubbles really.

I feel like it was Holton and Bullis.

Can you stop already with the Bullis? Yes, the detailed list was impressive but it’s very likely that included multiple acceptances by same students. When comparing apples to apples, they are not close to Sidwell, GDS, Holton, NCS, or even Maret.

You're telling me you trust the instagram info over the transparent, clear and direct info from the actual school???

The Instagram page is where the kids are actually going to school and not listing all the schools they were accepted at. So that is a more accurate picture of the schools they are attending. We are a Bullis family and love that the acceptances run the gamut. That’s the beauty of Bullis. We are not a pressure cooker and they can challenge and support various types of learners.

What are you talking about. They're all great schools. Your comment is weird from a supposed "Bullis Parent."

I never said they weren’t great schools. However, you have everything from George Mason and Coastal Carolina, to small privates, to Harvard and Hopkins. It’s not just the top schools and that is what makes Bullis awesome. This narrative that either the school or parents are trying to push about being the new Sidwell is so weird and will backfire on us. We should embrace how beautifully diverse we are and push that narrative instead.

They declined due to money and they can afford private school tuition or get aid at private school but not college?

Not everyone wants to spend on undergrad and instead spend it on graduate school.

I think you’re having a discussion with someone who is being completely insincere, or even making things up completely

NP. One can be wealthy enough to afford private but that doesn’t mean you always will turn down a merit full ride to UNC to be full pay at Duke. It’s a scenario that is plausible and has been talked about in the college boards

There is an article in the Tess magazine not that long ago and I so you can see from their Instagram. My neighbor also has a kid who’s there and said the kids did great with over 20 IVs.

Look at the 2023 Instagram posts. Whitman’s college outcomes are NOT on par with Sidwell’s.
I’m not a Sidwell parent, but I’ve noticed that many DCUM posters cannot keep Sidwell’s name out of their mouths. Why are so many people obsessed with this school?!?

Because its the best. The gold standard. Everyone looks up to it.

Welcome to the USA. Wealth and power determining future outcomes is the American way.

Where is this not the way?
