I really think it all has to do with the 29s. Some M&D DC 2029 parent (or other affiliate) really wants that team to stay together instead of disbanding for Capital, and is trashing the 2027 and 2028 Capital teams on various forums. You have to break a few eggs to make an omelet.

They had a solid tournament. Having said that, they could be much better with upgrades at certain positions. Precisely why Capital has them tryout again. Expect to see movement between two teams and some players from other clubs.
Maybe they have the players they need but the coaches haven't gotten them to gel well. Seemed to be a lot of individuals trying to play hero play hero ball when I watched. Not sure if they are coached that way or if the coaches haven't been able to change habits, but perhaps some of the talent is untapped.
Cap Blue 28 coach's last club team finished their run at #2 in the country, and he has coached high school ball for decades, so he knows what he is doing. Plays are called by the coaches and include isolation plays, as well as individual-looking plays designed to move the defense and draw doubles, both from up high and from X--not hero ball.
Heard he burned out and checked out on his HS team at the last minute this year. Gotta wonder if he's into another uphill climb with a team that needs a lot of work after such a great 2025 run or is he just counting the tournament weekends until retirement...
If you don’t think there’s hero ball then seems likely your DD is the one initiating the “individual-looking” plays.
Not necessarily hero ball, but the coach does run the offense through a very small group of girls
Fixed it for you
The coach does run the offense through a very small group of girls who aren’t very good.

It's a lot more likely you don't really know a lot about lacrosse, but can get a free license to opine because there's an internet now.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Did you hear it from the same place as Anonymous thinking there's too much hero ball?Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:What’s wrong with the 28s?
