We planned to sign our kid up for swim team at the country club next year. I assumed they had staff for these things.
I certainly hope they don’t expect this of parents.
Staff to do do all of the duties parents typically fulfill as volunteers? I highly doubt it. That would be a lot of staff.
Well I can’t imagine the club having a concession stand… so that’s one thing off the list.

You will be in for a rude awakening.
There are far fewer volunteers needed at country club meets.

Our team’s rule is if you are one of the top 2 times on the team for that stroke in your age group then you can’t swim it at the B meet, but I would be fine with saying if you swam it at the A meet the previous weekend you don’t get to swim it at the B meet.

This is the rule in our developmental league...if you swam it on Saturday, you can't swim it on Monday. And if you placed 1st or 2nd in one or both events on Saturday, you can only swim one additional event on Monday, not two, and it's unofficial (your time counts for the ladder but you cannot place).

Up until recently, we were a D3 pool. Our B meets never last past 9PM. Usually, we're done between 8:30 and 8:45.

When the team says prior to registration that volunteering is mandatory to make swim team work, they don’t mean everyone but YOU. They mean YOU B MEET PARENTS ARE NEEDED SO MY A MEET KID CAN SWIM EXHIBITIONS.
You suck, B meet parents, and I judge you. Don’t give excuses, no one forced you to register your slow-ass kid who will never win a ribbon.
That’s all.
