MT continues to push GOP talking points...
Not going to go over well in Arlington.
If supporting accelerated math option is now a GOP talking point. I should go burn my elizabeth warren t-shirt because I agree with MT completely!
Same. MK supporters trying to shame voters on issues like this and wanting open schools is just strange.
But VMPI isn’t pushing detracking...why is she harping on it?

VPMI doesn’t implement until 2025-26. And they aren’t restricting acceleration.
So...LCPS jumped the gun. OR was already planning to adjust the options, as other area districts have done.
Well for those of us in LCPS that’s still relevant and definitely affects us!
It's the white board members trying to "save" the south and east Asian children from all that "pressure" their "culture" puts on them. White people to the "rescue." Or maybe they're threatened by success? It's hard to say.
Gross. Is that really what some people think?

OP here. I listed to the early webinars. They definitely wanted to end any tracking or separate accelerated/advanced classes. They made that very clear. So I don't think this was a waste of time -- it was political pressure that made them change.
