This is the issue.
I will say it again. If you have questions about the process of becoming a Board Member reach out to the Board Chair and ask to speak with the chair of the Committee of Trustees. I'm sure they would welcome the opportunity to answer them. Lastly you do have a say with your vote, you can vote no for individuals put on the ballot.
Are you for real? I'm pretty sure they would not be interested in talking about this issue. And if the PP did bring up the issue of how nominations are done by current board members and that serves to be exclusionary for other members of the community, they would get on someone's sh*tlist pretty quickly.

We all have to follow the rules for the safety of the community and to keep school open. It’s not that hard to do.
Favored parents aren’t subject to little rules.
Isn’t the purpose of a cohort so your child has a small, restricted group to interact with? I assume that the kids are sleeping over with others in their cohort? Are you also up in arms about all the Burgundy kids playing on sports teams unmasked? FYI - There are a lot of them.

Do not start this. I'm sure there are some people who have not perfectly followed the rules, including parents and teachers. I know of zero families who are traveling, but I know of at least one teacher who is. They are expceptions so stop trying to stir up trouble.
The teachers are all working their tails off and are doing an absoluely outstanding job. I keep in touch with a lot of families and they are all being extremely careful. I have heard of no one doing sleep overs or traveling. We aren't even doing playdates (not even masked and outdoors) with our kids' best friends because they aren't in the same cohorts.

They just ask the parents who are very involved and show up a lot. I know because a couple of my friends were asked and passed. They were casually asked if they would accept a nomination in both cases my friends said no they weren't able to commit to do it. If you feel really strongly, don't you think you should be very involved in the school? To me that's a starting point.
This is not true. Long time, very visible volunteer here. Our family fits the profile above, as far as wealth and profession. We have never been approached about being on the board.
