And I don’t know anyone else who would’ve thought that acceptable in 1984. We’re not talking about the 1960s.
I was watching his press conference live and he said two things that I can’t get past. 1) he claimed it wasn’t him in the photo after saying just yesterday that it WAS him in the photo. Which is it? On this point alone I find him untruthfull. 2) In an obvious ploy to get ahead of future criticism, he did admit during his press conference to having dressed up like Michael Jackson for a dance competition, including putting on black face. Ummmm....How is that more acceptable than the thing you were accused of?
He’s got to go. He’s a relic of the old Virginia and we (I live in VA) need to move forward into the future.

What you mean like Al Franken resigning because of a dopey picture while our GOP POTUS is on video bragging about grabbing women's pussies and has been accused by 16 women of sexual assault was elected President?
+1. I’m a Democrat but this is the problem with the far left. They think they’re doing a good thing by pointing out all the dumb stuff people on our side have done in the past and calling for their resignation/removal. Then the right-wingers take advantage of it and we lose otherwise good people like Franken, who made a bad decision in the past before they were even involved in politics. We insist on trying to be the adults in the room while Republicans get away with so much because their voters/supporters just don’t care.
As a staunch conservative and Trump supporter, I thought Franken should have NOT resigned. Frankly, she had years to speak up and didn't. And while this photo of Northam is ugly, it was a long long time ago. More concerned about how the photo of Farrakhan and Obama was hidden before the election as that was NOT a long long time ago.

The dangerous thing to do would be to question the idea of ending a productive career over a horrendous photo from 30 years ago. People have the capacity to evolve over time and by all accounts his record on race issues has been positive. Don’t Al Franken the guy unnessarily because it’s the PC thing to do.
It's what Democrats do. All of them.

Isn't Northam a moderate?
I thought so, until he explicitly described how he, as a doctor, would murder a newborn

Sure, let's put him on the Supreme Court.

This is absolutely true.
So you don’t think Brett Kavanaugh’s past should have been used against him? If Northampton were a Republican, you don’t think the Ds would be screaming for him to resign?
I hate the GOP and their hypocrisy as much as anyone but we can’t complain about R’s hypocrisy on this one.
