Ducks, you have to be raised with it. 1. Wine 2. Racehorses 3. The arts 4. Bonds.
Time to make your payment to the country club.

What’s racist about etiquette and ballroom dancing? I get that if participation discriminated on the basis of race, that would be discriminatory, but otherwise I don’t see the problem. Hokey and outdated, maybe, but that’s a different issue.

I, for one, would just go somewhere else. You don't want to give people the wrong idea because of a class.
You realize that Capital Cotillion and Mrs. Simpson's are completely different organizations, right? So why are you posting about Mrs. Simpson's on a thread about Capital Cotillion? It seems like you're trying to smear them both by confusing people.
Capital Cotillion does not have a discriminatory history and is open to anyone who is interested. You register online. Their only constraint has been matching numbers for both genders. There has to be an equal number of boys and girls (so they can dance). Usually what happens is there are more girls than boys who want to sign up. If you're a girl who wants to join, if you can get a boy in the same grade to join, you can ask to sign up together.
IME, it takes a lot of coaxing to get boys to dress up and dance with girls during the 4th, 5th grade years.

There’s nothing about CC or MS that’s related to class.
Just a bunch of new money “Tryhards.”
