The New Times story people eithrr want to comment or 'were unavailable to comment' man these corporate types.
Also how expensive are flights to Cannes France?
Russini got it wrong when the Jacksonville Jags fired their coach an entire year later.
Also it was just a speeding ticket Dianna no need to FaceTime a coach JC
Also we know now why Katie Nolan (cough) and Stugotz(literally who) were carrying water for her.

Oh wow, Russini broke a story that the Skins acquired DeSean Jackson. Stop the presses for this earth shattering news! Let's back up the truck for her!

And of course the cherry on top was that she blew the Doug Peterson story and suffered zero professional consequences.

Of course, the story completely avoided the big question which is: HOW MANY OTHER COACHES HAS SHE BANGED? I'm sure the answer is on more than two hands.

Her $800k salary was such as disgrace to the profession. Journalists who put their lives on the line and those who actually report on fraud, waste, abuse and criminal activity (and don't sleep with sources) are lucky to make 10% of Russini's salary.

Just goes to show that a pretty face and a willingness to sleep around will take you far in journalism. Having ethics and acutually reporing on stories that matter, eh not so much.

This is stunning to me and I was totally wrong. The actual reporters investigating DOGE and Wall Street don't make anywhere near that, which explains a lot.

Sports, particularly football is big business in the US.

The New York Times has now reported Russini was earning close to $800,000 per year for the Athletic. (Owned by the NY Times.) They reported she was one of the highest earners of all NY Times reporters.

Yeah right. Vrabel's not getting fired and he's not quitting. Find a better source than the garbage DailyMail.

I really do not know why he would quit or be fired. The reporter probably violated ethical rules and could very well have been fired. There are no such rules for a head coach in the NFL. They are treated differently because they had different jobs with different rules. Patriots would be crazy to fire him now. If his life falls apart and he becomes a wreck then sure but that is not likely. Kids are grown. Maybe he can patch up with the wife or maybe not but either way that will come to a decision point soon and move on. The owners likely never asked him the direct questions because they knew they would not get an accurate answer. SO if he lied it is doubtful it would be held against him. Tomlin is a good coach but his expire date has passed. He is not the long term answer for the Patriots, Vrabel is.

Sleuths have repeatedly been able to link her negative reporting to things that benefited Vrabel as a coach and harmed other coaches, players and teams. It calls into question the integrity of the league and its media apparatus.

All of which is a problem for her and not an issue for him. Kind of his job to get good press for himself.

He was obviously feeding her the inside info and false stories. She also voted for awards which won him fat bonuses. He’s an unethical cheater in every way.

Think about it. He had access to inside info for one team and one team only. That might help the beat reporter for the Boston Globe but not a national reporter.

They were paying for access and she seemed to have a lot of it.

NFL is big business and she was one of the top "insiders"/reporters. Look up what Schefter makes.

He makes well over a million. But calling her a print journalist does not help. Her comp would be compared to star print journalists. They still exist although there are less than there were. Maggie Haberman at NYT has similar comp.
