I don't know any parent who enjoys travel sports. Even ones who want their kids to do them.

I’m surprised this is the first time U2 has been mentioned.
I cannot stand U2 and have mentioned it a few times in the past. I don’t think there are many like me though.

So, you don’t think he’s sexy?Anonymous wrote:I can't stand Rod Stewart. I just think he's so vastly overrated.
Not a terrible example for his son at all. The ball was hit into the crowd. The first person to grab the ball gets to keep it. That's the way it has always been. This woman getting aerated because the ball landed near her is more of a bad example to a child.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I wonder if the roles had been reversed and she had got the ball and then the dad had got in her face demanding the ball, what would have been the reaction from the public? That ball landed at her feet or seat next to her, 40 yr old Dad sprints 15 seats over, grabs it while she's bent over scrambling for it, and triumphantly trots back 15 seats carrying ball over his head to hand to his roughly 12 yr old child.
This is not the victory for the poor kid (tween), that it is being portrayed as. Dad should be ashamed for running to get into a scrape on the ground with an older woman.
I agree. I watched that video over and over, trying to determine who was in the wrong and it's pretty clear - the DAD! What he did was so incredibly obnoxious. Now, I won't deny that the woman looked pretty annoying too, but this situation wasn't her fault.
Okay, after hearing all the hubbub about this, I finally watched the video, and while I think the lady should have let it go, I thought the dad was kind of a douche to get up in her space like that. I feel bad for her.
Exactly! I mean, he walked all the way over to where there was already a group of people going for the ball - because it was in THEIR section. What a terrible example for his son.
