The National Security Adviser Waltz added him. Don't you read anything?
Clearly, neither does anyone in Trump's admin.

I would imagine that the U.S. has strict rules on feds bringing unsecured electronics to Russia regardless of whether the trip was work related or not? I know my non government research institution has rules about brining institution (and personal if they are also used for work iirc) electronics to countries like China

I subscribe to that failing magazine. Jeff Goldberg will probably get a Pulitzer for his reporting.
+1. If he doesn’t deserve one, who does. Especially since this was ethical reporting. Waiting to publish until US troops were safe, redacting the name of the covert operative (something Trump couldn’t be bothered to do with the JFK papers), describing war plans in a high level, general way and not publish specifics. Publishing once it was safe to do so, and not waiting two years to publish it in a tell all book.
This is Watergate and Pentagon Papers level reporting.
+1 I'm impressed with him and the Atlantic. They really did everything right here. There were a lot of things he could have done that would have made him more attackable...

Guess it needs to be leaked.
The leak happened already, the journalist was the recipient of the leak. The information was shared on
non-DoD phones via an app explicitly banned for use by DoD. They are saying that nothing was classified, so he will just be sharing some texts between friends that he was sent.
Cool then why don't they post the entire text chain online? If none of it was classified information then bring the receipts and show everything that was in there....
You idiot, texts have been posted multiple times over but we can't help if you watch only Fox News and they aren't gonna post anything.

Who would want to work in intelligence if they know the director will name you in an unsecured chat?
