I think if they had met under different circumstances they would have become friends and then eventually ended up together. But when he is presented with a buffet of women she didn't stand out to him.

I don't think he was attracted to her, hard to see that changing.

He wasn't attracted to her at all. It was obvious from his body language.
I think she's great and lovely and perfect for him on paper like a lot of people, but none of that matters if there's no attraction.

I think people are too hung up on her sexy dancer Prince days. Really she’s just an unusually athletic midwestern mom/grandmom and that’s been her identity for a long time now.

I like both ladies, and agree they’re both essentially suburban homebodies. Leslie is younger and more adventurous, but seems to share the same core values. I guess my only real question is about the differences in age and religion.

I guess I also wonder whether he’ll care about Leslie’s more colorful dating history vs. prefer a woman who’s only been with one man. I can’t actually tell how traditional he is.

To me, dating for 40 years without ever getting into a stable relationship is a red flag. But he may feel differently.

She was married twice.

She probably does feel giddy as a schoolgirl, and they did have what looked like a terrific date. I don't see how her talking about it was all that different than, say, Faith gushing about the helicopter and hot tub experience. Her mistake was thinking she could chatter about it to Kathy and the others like she would to her sisters. And we all know Kathy would have been fine with it if she hadn't believed T was the frontrunner at that point. I do think it was more clueless than manipulative per se. I find T very boring, including her social media posts, it she seems like a perfectly nice person and engages very kindly with her "fans." Gerry seems torn between wanting someone to go to church with him and make him meatballs (one interview) and someone who is high-energy, athletic, and adventurous. I think he could probably go either way in the end, but it might be a tough choice because it's essentially choosing one particular path forward.

This makes sense. Neither Leslie nor Theresa ticks all these boxes. I guess that’s to be expected; you don’t often find a domestic goddess and an athletic go-getter in the same package. So he’s having to figure out a single path forward. Honestly, at 70, the woman who’s his age, but not low-energy either, seems like a better fit.

He has an adventurous streak, I suspect Theresa would bore him. Unless he just really, really likes being adored.

Agreed. But because he seems to enjoy feeling protective he might like the idea of being her one knight in shining armor. Or, if he is actually more conservative, he might have second thoughts. Hard to tell right now!

True. And he wouldn’t be the first guy to choose a woman 10 years younger.

I'm disappointed for the opposite reason, lol. I was hoping there would be more immature alcohol-fueled cattiness, which is a staple of reality tv. All we got was dumb old Kathy hissing "Zip it!" to Theresa and the subsequent tears. Not enough drama for my taste.

Happened upon Leslie’s old Insta account, which is still up. Pics of her with an old partner, but mostly with family.
