Absolutely! I have been thinking this for weeks. DeSantis and Vance were both trying to rise in big states crowded with ambitious Republican politicians, and in this current GOP environment you don’t rise due to any great new policy ideas or political acumen or star quality. You only advance if you get a Trump endorsement, and Trump endorses those who are the most obsequious instead of picking on any of the above reasons. So here we are, with these weirdos who seem uncomfortable with voters, with reporters, with anyone outside of Jack Posobiec’s lab for young MAGAites.

Well, maybe it’s an unfair accusation, but you have to wonder if Vance’s so-called "aimless wandering" is really just an excuse for him to locate some new couches to rub himself on, be it in backstage/green room areas at speaking events, in community centers, in various offices, etc.

If it’s not, so be it, but the simplest explanation for something is often correct, e.g., the more you wander, the better your chances are for coming across new couches.

There’s something to your observation. There is something just “off” about him. Inauthentic. For someone who has so much, his anger just seems fake.

Vance is definitely angry and off-putting. So is Trump (to me anyway). There is something to the Kamala-Walz happy warrior ticket. Hopefully people are just tired of the Trump rage and chaos and don't want to go back.
