Well to be fair I don’t look at my finances…. We have a joint account and my husband tries to tell me about it but it is overwhelming so I just let him do it. He’s a good guy though and VERY thrifty so I know he’s not spending unwisely. He handles the retirement too. I just don’t love numbers!

I mean, before kids I was GREAT at finances and had my own house my own career and paid my own bills. Got married in my 30s and I will say the last 8 years have been a blur...I now stay home and admittedly have no clue what is in our bank account/bills/etc. We have divided jobs and I'm on school/doctors/household management/etc etc etc and my husband has taken over bills. I know I should be more aware but I am tired! I think it is easy as an overwhelmed mom to divide chores and give up bills. I hope to get more involved as my last is starting kindergarten in 2 years but I don't think it is rare at all to step back from finances as you are managing all the other responsibilities of young children.

A part of me feels like she knew or had some idea, but it was just easier to blame Brandon for everything.

People who HAVE secure relationships DON’T need social media “hoopla”. You don’t need the external validation. I find it odd when adults do this, first Brandon and now Jen? You aren’t a teenager. I get maybe a simple sentence or statement but this is so far over the top, feels desperate and like she’s defending his douchehood.

I think the issue is she's never dated before and is ultimately the equivalent of a 19 year old. Everything is novel, and anything Tyler does that Brandon didn't do is amazing. And she's an extremely online person, so everyone must know!

Her relationship with Tyler serves the purpose of getting her feet wet, showing that she can love again. Him living in a different city makes it kind of a comfortable "relationship lite." Time will tell how long it lasts before she wants more.
