The Ihatesoccer guy is just a product of his environment. But his podcast is great. He's spent his career in ECNL heavy locations, so his world view will be skewed in that direction. But kudos to him for having the GA folks on and being genuinely interested in that platform. In youth soccer, the GA is the new kid on the block compared to ECNL, and all of these guys that coached and came through when the DA was king and ECNL was still around, are understandable naive and skeptical to a new league (aka GA).

He tweaks his wording. He is pushing for MLS Academies. You still want to play MLS Next, but he fails to say that

He just recycles the imyouthsoccer graphics. I can’t take him too seriously. He actually says that the best way to break into an ECNL roster is through the club’s RL team.

Lots of kids get promoted from the RL team. That’s what all the club directors tell me.
