I’ve been reading about these two weirdos out on the West Coast who attack any effort by the local school district to implement an ethnic studies program that was thoroughly designed and evaluated by the state’s dept. of education. Neither have children in the district at the moment. Neither can provide a cogent response when asked why they oppose the curriculum. Both are irrational shrews.

The closest they come, when pressed on the matter, is to argue vaguely that the curriculum is anti-semitic and that the content is insufficiently standards-based.

Both, however, demand anti-semitism presentations in all district schools whenever there is the faintest whiff of a Jewish student feeling left out or treated unfairly. To them, nobody needs to hear about our country’s historical mistreatment of natives, African Americans, women, Asian Americans, gays, etc., but we sure as hell need to focus on anti-semitism awareness at every waking hour.

I hope Israel in its current ethnocentric state will end. The genocide needs to end, and the perpetrators should be held accountable. However, there are many Israelis who were born in the region, have grown up there, and have no other home. Yes, those who harbor illusions of racial superiority need to move on, but they also need to be accommodated in an overall solution. It is well past time for all sides to stop essentializing people as Muslim, Arab, Jewish, etc. Our world should have moved on from such limiting labels. We are simply people, all of us, and we need a solution that is fair to all sides.

There were many Palestinians who were born in the region too. Live by the sword die by the sword. The Nazis never thought they would one day be at the mercy of the Soviets. Military fortunes always change. You can already see the corruption and decadence in Israeli society and military.
