“Hey guys … let’s try out for Coppermine. People are saying the club has no recruiting record, uses parent coaches who favor their own daughters over others, encourages players to put their own interests above the team by allowing them to skip games so they can be healthy for individual showcases, has shown poor leadership which has caused many 28s to scramble and explore positions at other teams just before their recruiting year, and is in full panic mode by advertising IMMEDIATE OPENINGS on the team. Who’s with me!!??!?”

No one doubts Capital’s success in the past and with ‘26 in particular. ‘27 and ‘28 look bleak at best. ‘29 may be even worse as M&D DC is a legit challenger. Parents, even Capital parents, are growing tired of the “my way or the highway” attitude from Capital.

The head coach also has a player on the team.

Rumour is the coach’s daughter is moving to SW….guess she won’t be coaching anymore.
So Coppermine will have a new coach and completely new players as it enters the recruiting year. Sounds like a great place to be.
Better than M&D DC or Capital ‘28. At least this team plays in the top brackets and is competitive. Why all the hate for this club?
No hate for the club. Just an interesting case study in how a team with limitless potential ended up in flames.
If all the good players on the current team leave then you can say it didnt work. Let's hold off on saying that until after tryouts.
Everyone says doom and gloom yet they are still #11. Ranked higher than Capital.
