Playing kickball is fine when you have the striker that Loudoun has. Fast, strong, and skilled. Loudoun will be tough to beat if teams don’t prepare for this player. We watched her dominate every game. Goalie is stellar as well with great defense. Don’t need a midfield if you just kick it over there heads.
Loudoun would still have same outcome if they only played 9v11.
Bethesda is certainly 2nd best in area though. Possession team with excellent passing. Goalie needs to jump on the ball more. Forwards need to work better together. We’ve seen Arlington, Metro and others. IMO, Loudoun and Bethesda are best in area for this age group.

I mostly agree with this but…the score does tell the story. Loudoun is better. Soccer is a game of 2 halves…the team with the most goals is the winner. Doesn’t matter when they score. Bethesda is probably the 2nd best in DMV and they are excellent at passing and skills of players are some of the best I’ve seen at this age group. However, excellent passing and good technical skills does not make them a possession team. Bethesda might be trying to be a possession team but they are far from it. It’s always fun to watch two good teams battle and I’m sure they will be battling many years to come!
