And what about the crazy man faking bird watching who set up the situation via his own version of what happened and was trying to take her dog. If this was a child it would be kidnapping. It was not a false police report as he was trying to take her dog by calling the dog over and offering it treats without her consent. Look at his actions. He should be fired. She was unhinged but she was provoked and he kept after her and most women along in a park would panic.

Ah yes, the Audubon board member, a well-known NYC birder, was probably faking bird watching and trying to steal random dogs. Very tricky!

You’re a troll at best and just dumb at worst. I’m sorry you’re stuck with being either.

That's not what is offensive here, Susan.

By his account, he was setting up the situation, being a bully and who knows what he was trying to do by trying to take the dog from her with dog treats. If that was a child, we'd call him a potential kidnapper. He set it up completely and if you look at his words, something is seriously off about the man. He was not bird watching and clearly has done this before or was out to take someone's dog as who carries treats around if you don't have a dog.

Pretty sure if the dog were a kid she'd already be in jail for strangling it.

Try harder?

It's not like he came into her backyard or anything. They're in a public place where it's clearly required that she keep the dog on a leash. Maybe she should keep the dog on a leash? She'd have solved a lot of problems that way, wouldn't she have?

I think the woman genuinely believed that being recorded in public by a stranger is somehow in and of itself illegal or assault or something.

You can be recorded in public. You can record police. Govern yourself accordingly.

You tell your kids to run from a man like that. He had treats and was calling the dog over. If that was your kid with you and he did that to your kid, what would you think?

Its not ok to threaten someone by videoing them. She was in an area alone and her dog was was not bothering anyone. His bird watching story made no sense.

Go away, you racist troll. Everything you write is a lie. Her stupid unleashed dog was tearing through a protected area. She is the one who threatened him, and she followed through with a fake 911 call.

Does this happen to you all regularly? I am shocked to see this. Never thought that any woman would cheapen herself like this. The last 4 years in this country has been eye-opening for me and the world.

Dear Non-White Legal Immigrant female,

Yes, these kinds of things happen to Black people in America regularly. Truth is, few White people believed the extent of our plight until phones w/ video capability came along (~2003). And even then, some try to contort that reality into something palatable for themselves (like some of the posters on this thread and on the "Jogger chased and shot" thread). Not surprisingly, when I travel to countries like yours I don't feel like public enemy #1. Looking forward to retiring anywhere but here.

I've come to understand that it can be tough being Black in a lot of places. But being Black in America has always been a special kind of perdition.

I answered your question last evening, not knowing about my Brother, George Floyd in Minneapolis > https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/883882.page

So yes, as I said, these kinds of things regularly happen to Black people in America. Mr. Cooper is way fortunate that he didn't suffer the same fate as Mr. Floyd (which I believe was Amy's intention).

You have to understand that these types of cherrry picked videos are red meat for the keyboard warriors on the far left. It is en vogue to portray black males as victims of the big bad white people. The people compulsively posting about about this nonsense don't actually do anything positive in the real world, so this is all they have. And someone like that isn't interested in the nuances of a situation, as they have made up their mind and will call you a racist if you don't agree with them.

Ignore this troll.

But I want to hear more about the “Don’t Tread On Me” flag she bought after Hobby Lobby asked her to wear a mask!

Yea, you just might be right since the Minneapolis police just killed George Floyd the same day.
