Richie Burke was an asst with DC United, Academy Dir and pro coach in Scotland prior to FCV and is now at Spirit. Loudoun Soccer doesn’t have coaches with anywhere near those credentials. They have some of the highest salaries, but not the highest level of credentials. See that there is a disconnect there?
Maybe FCV will sustain, maybe they will fall apart. Either way, Loudoun Soccer has all the resources a club could ask for and had a subpar showing as a DA club. For the most part, they’ve maintained the status quo as they’ve transitioned to ECNL. I’d keep expectations in check.
Shakford coach for 5 minutes. Gus was recruited from Annandale a d brought his entire hallmark team with him...then they fired him after he wouldn't give them a cut of his "soccer the Brazilian way", Burke was brought in for the boys program that never really took off...bsst team was once again a Herndon team that the recruited. They gained valuable players when Loudoun walked over their 04, 05 red teams and allowed them to pick their best. (At that time, Loudoun 04, 05 were the best). I can go on but wont. FCVs hallmark team was stolen from SYA.
Now, I agree with you on Loudoun. I really dont like that organization.
Some of the coaches named are no longer with FCV, the club is run so POORLY they can't hold on to good coaches.

+1 FCV need ECNL

But the fact of the matter is LS has what FCV so desperately wants/needs—a spot in the ECNL. There is a good chance Arlington will get girls ECNL and FCV won’t. They can look forward to a lot of 14-0 league games in the GA next year. I guess it is a good thing the GA took the word development out of their name.

Anyhow FCV clown is back on this forum with his inferiority complex. FCV has only one good girls team per age group in the U13 and older divisions. This is not due to some superior method or coaching. It is due to their approach to a soccer club (focus on top older girls teams only) and the luck they found themselves in with having a DA program where they stole away Loudoun's best players post DA merge a few years ago. The rest of their teams and coaches are garbage and they know it so they desperately cling to picking on other clubs, be it LS or Metro or McLean or Bethesda or Arlington or VDA or BRYC, etc. Again, not saying Loudoun has some great stable of coaches and that Loudoun handled refunds well, but FCV offered nothing back to their parents either of any substantial difference. It just that when you’re the big boy on the block, as LS is in this county, it is easier to get bad press and easier for #2 to take pot shots. Meanwhile FCV should purge all teams and simply play GA girls U13 and over. 6 teams total. Be a boutique side show to TSJ and up the fees on those parents as they will pay anything to be able to brag about their daughter. It’s kinda like Dance Moms. Actually that would be the smart thread in this forum: how much would you be willing to pay to have your daughter play for FCVs GA team. We could start with a certain influential local pro soccer figure for that answer ... oh sorry, did I offend someone? And no I won’t apologize for the comment as if you’re willing to do that you deserve criticism. Club and parent.

How could LS have possibly competed (and actually won the day for both boys and girls) against McLean? All the geniuses that post to this board know that LS is the worst DMV club ever.
I think the theme has been that the NOVA ECNL teams are mostly all bad in their ECNL division. Bad teams beating or playing to ties against bad teams does not elevate either club and is not particularly worthy of celebration on a public forum.
Here are Loudoun's standings after such an amazing weekend that have all the "haters so upset"
U13 11th
U14 1st
U15 12th
U16 11th
U17 9th
U19 13th
So I think I speak for a large portion of the community when I ask that Loudoun parents to just STFU.

25-40-7 isn't "hate" it is a fact.
It is a fact that the largest soccer club in Virginia can only field 5 winning teams out of 20 on the girls from U13-U19 across three separate leagues.
Almost half of the clubs ties came in one weekend against McLean. #awesomeweekend #byloudounstandards

Imagine if you will... the energy spent by L$ staffers taking time out of their duties (probably now part of their job descriptions) to report other neighboring clubs during practices and games while actively campaigning to parks and rec they don’t let other neighboring clubs use specific fields and create false statements to put them out of business.
Yeah, take a look in the mirror. Or better yet, your wallet. Remember, you must proudly sustain the life of a spineless, corrupt and criminal entity.
