This is so funny. Adults are ruining both these two clubs with their ego, pettiness and politics. Ultimately it is the players, who don’t give a damn about any of this crap, that lose. GoTD. Who will sit in the Iron Technical Director’s chair?

Dont get too upset. That is never the case..these clubs are like car dealerships, they will say anything to keep you from going somewhere else but trust me if they find better players they will have no issues putting you on a lower team without even speaking to you. You find out when you get the email. Unless you have written evidence filing a complaint is going to do nothing.

OP here! I am not upset at coaches trying to retain players, but it is a sleazy way of going about it. I sat at the Parents’ Meeting for 2 hours listening to Lula blame the previous TD for all the “disparity” between the different levels of Travel and have them promise they would fix all the "gaps and cracks" and how the new administration were going to bridged the gap. Blah, blah, blah.
My DS tried out and we did not get an offer until after the third tryout. However we are new to the club - not sure if current members received offers earlier.

Thanks for the info. I am SHOCKED because Este promised fair and unbiased evaluations as part of the tryout process.
Sarcasm aside, my younger DS was with SYC and I am very glad that we decided to go elsewhere for the 2019/2020. If the LMVSC players are legitimately better, then fine - offer them the top spots. But I think that at a bare minimum SYC should be allowing the full three days of tryouts to pass before making offers. Especially as they are not overly familiar with the SYC players.
How do you that not one SYC player got a offer why is everyone assuming its jus the new LMVS players? I know a few SYC players that got offers already the best players will be noticed its not hard to see who's good and who still needs some more time to blossom

No its true I saw SYC coaches putting offers on the windshields of parents of players from Burke, Team America, and PAC while those teams were practicing.

Because parents talk to each other? Because kids tell people what team they will be playing on? And the offers were made in the open air on a field, where anyone walking by can hear what you are talking about?
