What happens if there is a shutdown?
Without any action from lawmakers, funding expires for nine federal departments and a number of agencies. The Agriculture, Commerce, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Justice, State, Transportation and Treasury Departments will all shutter.
More than 420,000 people will work without pay and an additional 380,000 workers will be furloughed.
The real question is how long till the democrats cave after the shutdown does go through.
I'm not sure they're going to "cave". Trump is unpopular. The wall is unpopular. This shutdown while the GOP is still in power just highlights how out of control Trump is. I bet Trump caves when he realizes that the shutdown means he can't go to Mar-a-lago because it will look too Marie Antoinette.

Of course not, this wall is absurd. It is not going to help anything.
